Real experiences from real travelers
As a huge JDM fan, this was a dream come true. Seeing the Liberty Walk shop was cool, but Daikoku was another level. We saw R34s, NSXs, and even a Pagani. Our guide Ken was super knowledgeable.
Even though I'm not a huge 'car person', the atmosphere was electric. The drive over the Rainbow Bridge was beautiful. Highly recommend for a unique side of Tokyo.
The tour was well organized. Daikoku was very crowded and police closed it after an hour, but the guide had a backup plan to another PA which was also nice. The Liberty Walk merch store is small but has cool stuff.
Best $150 I spent in Japan. Riding in the van with other car guys was fun, and we got plenty of time at Super Autobacs to buy souvenirs. 10/10.
Great way to see the car scene if you can't rent a car yourself. The guide explained the different tribes (Bosozoku, Drift, VIP) really well.
My boyfriend dragged me along but I actually loved it. The cars are works of art. Warning: it gets cold at night by the bay, so bring a jacket!
Pickup was on time at Tokyo Tower. The van was comfortable. We spent about 90 minutes at Daikoku before heading back. Perfect timing.
Wish we could have stayed longer at Liberty Walk, but we had to beat the traffic to Daikoku. Still a solid tour for the price.
Everything you need to know for your journey
Daikoku PA is open 24/7 as a rest stop, but car meets are spontaneous. Friday and Saturday nights are busiest. Police may close the lot to non-commercial vehicles if it gets too crowded.
No. Daikoku PA is located on an island accessible only by the toll highway. There is no pedestrian access, and taxis generally cannot drop you off and wait. A tour or rental car is the only way.
Closures are common on weekends. If police clear the area, our guides typically move to alternative spots like Tatsumi PA or Umihotaru, which also attract car enthusiasts.
No, the tour visits the Liberty Walk Tokyo store in Harajuku, which sells apparel and goods and usually displays 1-2 cars. The main HQ with the huge showroom is in Nagoya (3 hours away by train).
Standard tours use comfortable passenger vans (Hiace/Alphard). Premium options may allow you to ride in or drive JDM sports cars like the GT-R or Civic Type R for an extra fee.
Yes, but we recommend it for children 6+ due to the late hours and loud noises. Child seats may be required by law.
Yes! We stop at Super Autobacs for about 30-45 minutes, giving you time to buy stickers, air fresheners, and small parts to take home.
Yes, Daikoku PA and Super Autobacs both have clean restroom facilities and convenience stores.
Tours run rain or shine. While fewer classic cars may come out in heavy rain, the atmosphere is still unique, and the drift cars often still show up.
